Château Olivier to Leognan
Length of visit : 45 minutesLanguages spoken
Situated in the heart of a vast wooded estate on the outskirts of Bordeaux, Château Olivier is like a jewel secretly guarded in its green setting.
A former seigneury whose medieval origins can be seen in the feudal architecture of the château, the estate has belonged to the de Bethmann family since 1886.
The wines of Château Olivier have been classified as Grands Crus Classés de Graves, both red and white, since 1953, and have been part of the Pessac-Léognan appellation since its creation in 1987. On 60 hectares of undulating gravelly soil on a clay-limestone base, five grape varieties express their personality and bring their richness to our blends. The wines, which are exported all over the world through the Bordeaux wine trade, are blended and matured to become great wines for laying down. Château Olivier will produce its first certified organic vintage in 2024.
