Grignols Beef Festival to Grignols

Certified Label Rouge since 1997, the Bazadaise breed is the pride of the South Gironde region.

Bred from the best beef cattle breeds – Bazadaise, Blonde d’Aquitaine and Limousine – the Bazadaise breed is selected from approved and qualified farms in an area stretching from the south of the Gironde to part of the Landes.

Like Bazas and Captieux, the commune of Grignols is also celebrating the Bœufs Gras.

Carnival fattened beef tasting at Boucherie du Rond-Point and Boucherie LABORDE, and delicacies from local shopkeepers.

Organised by the CACG Rugby and the Grignols butchers. A host of former international players will be present.


Dates

From 8.30am: Snack bar at the club house with a plate of charcuterie or grilled meats and cheese: €10
– 10am: Parade of beef presented by the Laborde butchers. Tasting of carnival beef from the Laborde and Rond-point butchers. Stop off at participating shopkeepers to sample local produce.
– 1pm: Meal under heated marquee at the rugby stadium 40€ (reservation on 05 56 25 52 62 or 06 42 13 90 15): Garbure; Grilled beef – shallots, sautéed grilled potatoes; Plate of Temple sur Lot ewes and snail delicacy, Apple and prune crumble and glacé saboule; wine and coffee.
