Exhibition of works by Emery “Ney” Mirabel to Bazas

Ney Mirabel, an artist firmly rooted in the South Gironde landscape, has forged his art over three decades of passionate practice.

A graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, his artistic career has been marked by a constant exploration of pictorial techniques, from oil to acrylic, via watercolour and broadening his creative horizons to sculpture, adding a new dimension to his work.

The exhibition highlights a particular facet of his art: a series of abstract paintings and metal sculptures evoking masks.

These works are the fruit of an approach in which matter and time play a dominant role.

Ney works in series, navigating with ease between the figurative and the abstract, exploring different techniques simultaneously.
