Les Mal-aimés is a literary and musical journey into the little-known history of the children’s prisons that existed in France until the 20th century.
With original compositions by Thierry Bourse and excerpts from Jean-Christophe Tixier’s novels Traqués sur la Lande and Les Mal-aimés, this musical reading lets us hear the voices of these young convicts: a powerful reminder of these shattered destinies, and a way of continuing to question our view of childhood and justice.
