BLACK VIIOLET is the new solo project from Nicole Laurenne (The Darts-US, The Love Me Nots). Moving away from the gritty rock world she loves.
Nicole, a classically trained pianist who has also dabbled professionally in jazz, is now venturing into uncharted territory: smoky, breathy vocals cooing over a bewitching mix of neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop rhythms, spy film music, torch and lounge. The result? An undeniably cool, seductive and cinematic allure. The music sparkles with an innovative pop vision, a keen musical sense and a broad cross-section of styles. Nicole’s prolific versatility as an artist, composer and producer is showcased.
